Summary:

This course provides an overview of different types of Internet search engines and various Internet search techniques, including Boolean operators. This course also defines electronic commerce and explains e-commerce standards, including Electronic Data Interchange, Secure Electronic Transactions and smart cards. In addition, this course covers the fundamentals of project management.

Objectives:

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Use keywords, indexes, variables and Boolean operators in Web searches
  • Define electronic commerce and its key advantages, drawbacks, international issues and legal considerations
