SQL Server 2000 Admin MCDBA MCSA MCSE 70-228 Series: Automation and Performance
Product Code: s22806 Time: 2.0 hour(s) CEUs: Available

Summary:

This course covers the capabilities included in SQL Server 2000 for automating routine tasks, allowing the database administrator to concentrate on development and tasks too complex for automation. Command-line options are available for most automation capabilities, but the graphical user interface (GUI) management tools access in the SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager provides the most robust and rapidly deployed automation options. Additional topics include an overview of the tools and techniques for monitoring SQL Server 2000 operations and a discussion of some of the common SQL Server performance optimization considerations that are included in the exam. There are as many specific configurations for performance optimization as there are installations of SQL Server 2000.
