Module 1 examines the updated regulatory prescribing requirements for valproate which are in place for both male and female patients under the age of 55 years. It also provides an overview of the drug, including its mode of action, indications, pharmacological properties and physical health monitoring requirements which are essential for managing patients with epilepsy safely and effectively on valproate.
Module 2: Reproductive Safety And The Pregnancy Prevention Programme
Module 2 focuses on the Valproate Pregnancy Prevention Programme (PEVENT) and also examines the reproductive risks to male, trans and non-binary people under the age of 55 years who are being treated with valproate.
